Transport in cities

Many questions are issued how to meet the public demands of a clean air in cities all over the world. Chinese had to ban cars in front of the olympics to lower the level of pollution. London will be the leading European City with electrical

vehicles . In Stockholm the cycle lanes are crowded in the rush hour.

In an article in The Herald Tribune written by Elisabeth Rosenthal:

“In the United States, there has been much more of a tendency to adapt cities to accommodate driving,” said Peder Jensen, head of the Energy and Transport Group at the European Environment Agency. “Here there has been more movement to make cities more livable for people, to get cities relatively free of cars.” Read the full article in IHT
