Guidelines and support to the SME:s on the green market will be more common all over Europe. The latest is guide is coming from the UK Carbon Trust. The green market is estimated to be worth £112 billion in the UK and £3.2 trillion worldwide, while a Carbon Trust poll found that 65 per cent of consumers want to purchase products from environmentally responsible companies. Yet recent research by the not-for-profit organisation revealed more than half of SMEs see a greener economy as a threat, while about half of businesses believe that to benefit from the green economy requires a lot of investment capital and only 22 per cent believe investing in green products and services will lead to higher profits.
